Lunchtime Lecture Series Presents:
Treating Chronic Pain?
Clinical Mega-Trials Prove Acupuncture Most Effective
Therapy
Presented by Dr. Changzhen Gong
Acupuncture practitioners know how effective
acupuncture can be to treat, reduce, and control pain. Many patients are ready
to swear that acupuncture is the only thing that ever helped with their pain.
But when questioned by skeptics, or just by patients who want to know how it
works, practitioners are frequently reduced to saying, “Well, I know it works –
it worked for me; you’ll just have to try it and see if it works for you.” Or
the practitioner may begin explaining pain in TCM terminology of Qi or Blood
Stagnation, etc., which the general public does not understand.
Now, however, we are entering a golden age of
scientific research into the mechanisms of acupuncture and clinical trials. Now
you, as a practitioner, can cite hundreds, even thousands, of well-constructed
clinical studies to your patients which prove the effectiveness of acupuncture
for numerous health conditions. In this informative lecture, Dr. Gong will
present the results of several rigorous studies involving over 20,000 patients
which reached the conclusion that acupuncture is effective for the treatment of
chronic pain, and that it is superior to conventional pain management.
Location: Upstairs Classroom
Lunch lectures are open to all, free of charge.
