Acupuncture can Relieve Tax Season Stress
Just over 20% of Americans wait until the last
week to file their tax returns. With the April 15th deadline looming, it’s safe
to say that accountants and at-home tax preparers alike are working frantically
to find those receipts, crunch those numbers and finish their forms on time.
Alleviating the stress that comes with tax season and other periods throughout
the year should be part of any well-balanced lifestyle. Using acupuncture to
achieve that goal can be energizing, effective and easy.
Acupuncture is an ancient form of traditional Chinese medicine. It works on the
principle of stimulating points in the body to correct imbalances in the flow
of energy (Qi) through channels known as meridians. When a body is stressed, it
will secrete hormones into the bloodstream. A study released just last year by
the Journal of Endocrinology showed that stress hormones were lower in rats
after receiving electronic acupuncture.
