A Discourse on Scientific Acupuncture
by Dr. Chen Chang
to celebrate his 90th birthday
Come and join the party as the American
Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine celebrates the life and legacy of
Minnesota pioneer acupuncture practitioner Dr. Chen Chang, who will be ninety
years old on April 18.
As
a western-trained physician, Dr. Chen Chang has been involved in acupuncture
anesthesia research since the 1950’s, and is also one of the earliest
acupuncture practitioners in Minnesota. Dr. Chen emphasizes choosing
acupuncture points from the perspective of anatomy and neuroscience. He has always used scientific theory to
explain classical Chinese medicine concepts. Dr. Chen taught electroacupuncture
in our school. A role model for us all, Dr. Chen enjoys remarkable health,
taking no medications or supplements.
