Medical Establishment Should Recognize Acupuncture
Why doesn't the American Medical Association or the
insurance companies recognize Chinese medicine? I have been to general
practitioners, two medical spine specialists, three orthopedic medical
specialists and physical therapists with little results for spinal stenosis and
an arthritic shoulder. One spine clinic gave me a lumbar back brace. I had MRIs
of all parts of my back, plus X-rays. The nerve pain is so severe that I broke
my tooth implant post in my sleep. I was in tears much of the time.
Someone suggested acupuncture. To take that route I wanted a Chinese individual with good credentials.

After three treatments, I can sleep, have relief from excruciating nerve pain
and the numbness in my legs is almost gone.
How can the U.S. medical profession not recognize such a scientific approach to help with such a severe problem? What does it take to accept alternative medicines as a viable aid to body ailments? It has cost my insurance company thousands for this problem when it only cost me $50 a treatment for real results. Something is wrong with this picture.
