Acupuncture in Taiwan

In China, leading Chinese medical schools and prominent Chinese medicine medical centers are all over the country. But in Taiwan, the hub of Chinese medicine and acupuncture is one institution, China Medical University which is located in Taichung. All developments of Chinese medicine and acupuncture in Taiwan are associated with China Medical University. China Medical University (CMU) was established in 1958 and is the first academic institution in Taiwan where Chinese medicine and pharmacy programs are provided. Professor Yi-Chin Fong from China Medical University is presenting Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in Taiwan in this lunchtime seminar.

Yi-Chin Fong, M.D., Ph.D., was trained as a physician in traditional Chinese medicine and became a general surgeon. Now he is a professor in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology and a surgeon at China Medical University Hospital in Taiwan.
